Subrata Manna a most sought for Tabla player of this generation received his initial training from Late Sri Sunil Bhattacharya of Benaras gharana at an early age of eight. Later he became a prime disciple of Tabla wizard Pandit Shankar Ghosh. Simultaneously Subrata started learning Karnatik tala system from acclaimed Mridngam maestro Pandit S.Sekhar.
